2006 Anti-Bullying Poster Competition
This is a competition to design an A2 size poster that will be used for the I Power I National Anti-Bullying Conference 2006.
All entries must be submitted by Wednesday 24th May 2006. It is open to all young people who attend schools in North Somerset. There are 2 categories. The first category is for students attending secondary school and the 2nd category is for pupils attending primary school. Each category will have a first and a second place winner.
The two first-prize winners will each receive £50 music tokens and the two second-place finalists will each receive £20 music tokens. The overall winner will have their design printed on a poster that will be distributed around the world. All four winners will also be given free entry to the conference and festival on the 20th and 21st November 2006. The prizes will be presented at the conference. A selection of the designs will be showcased on the conference website.
Entry rules and requirements:
You must be under 18 years of age and be attending school in North Somerset. You must submit your completed design/s in hard-copy format, minimum size A3 by 12midday on the 24th May 2006 to the Conference Organisers. Your design may appear on the conference website or other promotions by the organisers. The Conference Organisers may modify your design. No payment will be given to you or any other person for your designs, apart from to the 2 winners and 2 second places who will receive the prizes stated above. Your design/s will not be returned to you and will remain the property of the conference organisers, unless you specifically state in writing that you want it back with your entry, and collect it no later than 2 weeks after the winning decisions have been made. You must have your schools and/or your parent’s permission to enter the competition. The Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the decisions. Winners will be notified by the 30th June.

If you are a school, and have a lot of designs to submit please ring Andy on 815163 to arrange collection. Please attach your name, address and contact phone number and/or the name, address phone number of your school to your design (or write it on the back).
What are we looking for?:
We are looking for creative, innovative, stylish, colourful, appealing, and/or fun posters.
Wording that the posters must contain:
- The ‘I Power I’ National Anti-Bullying Conference for Young People
- Incorporating the first ever International Anti-Bullying Festival for Young People
- Produced by Actionwork in partnership with the I Power I Crew
- and in Association with North Somerset Council
- Music, shows, presentations, anti-bullying experts, open mic sessions, awards, exhibitions, films, resources, VIP’s, special guests and a whole lot more.
- Monday 20th November 9:30-6:00pm and Tuesday 21st November 9:30-4:00pm (2-days)
- Venue - Winter Gardens, Weston-Super-Mare, South West England, UK.
