Courses

Courses run by Actionwork
Actionwork has run a variety of courses on Theatre-in-education, Creative Action Methods, and Workshop Facilitation. We are currently developing a programme on Social Theatre.

Most of our courses are currently only available by group bookings of 10 or more people.

Certificate in Theatre In Education

This is a part-time Course run over a period of one year. It consists of 6 weekend modules, a One-week Summer School and a 2-week work placement.

This Course is currently only available in the UK. Modules will be held in or around Bristol

This Course will provide practical sessions, theoretical discussion and participation in various TIE models. At the end of the Course students that pass will:

  • Feel confident in designing and running workshop sessions
  • Have the ability to set up their own TIE group
  • Feel empowered with many new techniques to use in the classroom or other group work situations
  • Have a variety of new resource material available at their fingertips
  • Be awarded with a Certificate in Theatre In Education
