For schools and LEA's
You have been asked to implement or update your anti bullying policy. You have been asked to use a whole school approach. You have been asked to involve the students in the process. How are you going to do it? What are you going to do? Should you use 'Peer Mentoring'? What about 'Bully boxes'?, 'Bully Courts'?, 'Drama or Theatre in Education'?, 'Films'?, Sanctions?, 'Pikas method'?, 'Olweus' method', The 'No-Blame Approach'?, The 'Support Group Approach', 'Assertiveness Training'?. What about using the Scandinavian approach or Peer Counselling, or introducing playground supervisors. How are you going to monitor and to evaluate that what you are doing is working?
Introducing, running and monitoring an anti-bullying programme can be a minefield of difficulties. It can also be looked at in a really positive light. Schools have their best resource at their fingertips - the students. The students can with the right guidance and supervision help run a whole range of anti-bullying activities within and outside the school.
Actionwork has developed an anti-bullying strategy that can not only help raise awareness of bullying and reduce it. It can also help foster and engender a positive, friendly and creative atmosphere within the school environment.
We can run these anti-bullying strategy programmes with individual schools or in conjunction with Local Authorities (LA's)
These programmes are fun and are run over a period of time. They also include resource material for use now and for use later. These programmes make an impact on delivery and have longevity with continued support.
Each programme can be designed and costed to suite your needs.
