During November and December 2011 Actionwork® held a free competition for anti-bullying week on the theme 'Stop and Think Words Can Hurt'.

We had over 350 entries from young people all over the UK that included films, pictures, poems, stories and cartoons. The youngest entrant was 3-years old and the oldest was 18-years old. We would like to thank everyone for getting involved and for the fantastic entries received. The judges (which includes young people) decisions have been very hard. We have chosen 10 finalists, and the winner has come from these 10. All of the 10 finalists entries are shown below. We will be showcasing other entrants throughout the year and will be compiling many of them in our magazine Empower You.

Our winner was 10-year old Caitlin Hamit from Downham Feoffees Primary School in Cambridgeshire. She has won a box full of goodies for herself and over £100 worth of anti-bullying books for her school. The judges felt that her poem not only encapsulated the theme of the competition but also the invisible pain that people who are bullied often feel.

Thank you onced again to everyone who participated.

Below we have showcased the top 10 entries starting with our winner Caitlin.
